Maintenance Technician
Choose your shift: 9am to 5pm, 11am to 7pm, or 12pm to 8pm. Full-time at The Shores in Ocean City, NJ, a short walk from the beach and boardwalk. $17.49 to $18.65 per hour.
The Shores, a United Methodist Communities senior living community at 2201 Bay Avenue, is home to residents in independent living, assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, and rehab. What you'll do
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and other building systems to keep our community running smoothly
- Respond to maintenance requests from residents and team members, delivering timely, high-quality service
- Perform routine preventive maintenance to help ensure equipment and facilities remain safe and reliable
- Accurately maintain service records, inspections, and maintenance documentation
- Manage inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies to support daily maintenance operations
- Help create a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment throughout resident apartments and community spaces
What you'll need
Required
- High school diploma or GED
- Able to read work orders, safety labels, and equipment instructions in English
- Pass a drug screen and background check
- Flu vaccine (medical and religious exemptions available)
- Hands-on repair experience in carpentry, electrical, or plumbing
Nice to have
- Maintenance experience in senior living, healthcare, hotels, or apartment communities

Schedule
- Full-time. Pick one of three set shifts: 9am to 5pm, 11am to 7pm, or 12pm to 8pm
- Monday through Friday, plus every other weekend
- Holidays covered on a rotation
