Up to $25 per hour, dependent upon experience. Every other weekend off and shifts end by 7 PM.  Cook for residents who'll know your name at The Shores in Ocean City, NJ.

The Shores, a United Methodist Communities senior living community, is hiring a Cook for our dining team.

What You'll Do

  • Prepare and serve meals with attention to consistency, presentation, flavor, and proper temperature
  • Follow food safety and sanitation standards through prep, storage, service, and cleaning
  • Follow recipes and portion guidelines to support quality, reduce waste, and control cost
  • Support daily dining service, catering, special events, and retail food programs
  • Keep your workstation clean and safe

What You'll Need

Required:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 18 years of age or older
  • 1–2 years of cooking or meal preparation experience
  • Able to read recipes and safety instructions and communicate with the care team in English

Preferred:

  • ServSafe certification or equivalent food safety training

Pay & Benefits

  • Up to $25 per hour, dependent on experience

Schedule

  • Full-time and per diem shifts available
  • Choose 6:00 AM–2:00 PM , 7:00 AM–3:00 PM, or 11:00 AM–7:00 PM
  • Every other weekend, climate-controlled kitchen year-round
