$19 to $22 an hour, 10:30am - 7pm with every other weekend off. Cook breakfast and lunch for the residents of Bristol Glen in Newton, with health, dental, and vision insurance and a 403(b) with employer match.
Bristol Glen is a nonprofit senior living community on 74 acres in Newton. It includes independent living, assisted living, memory care, and a 60-bed nursing and rehab center. In our kitchen, you cook for the same residents every day, and they notice when a meal is good.
What you'll do
- Cook meals for residents using our standard recipes and portion sizes
- Plate food that looks good, tastes good, and stays at safe temperatures
- Follow food safety, allergy, and sanitation rules from prep through cleanup
- Help with catered events, holiday meals, and on-site retail food service
- Keep your station clean, stocked, and organized
- Work with the dining team to get every meal out on time
What you'll need
Required:
- At least 1 year of cooking experience. Restaurant, school, hospital, and senior living kitchens all count.
- Ability to read recipes and food labels, and to talk with the team about food safety and resident allergies
Preferred:
- Experience cooking for special diets or in a healthcare or senior living kitchen
- ServSafe Food Handler or Manager certificate

- $19.00 to $22.00 an hour, based on experience

Schedule
